I am going to marry my best friend and the love of my life. Thank you Jesus
| — | Colossians 3:12-17, Wow such a great reminder |
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.
Love is patient and kind;
love does not envy or boast;
it is not arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing,
but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Love never ends.
| — | Love is an unconditional commitment to an imperfect person. I was reminded of this today. Thank you Jesus for loving us, and showing us how to love. |
Father, you are my Shepherd. You lead me and take care of me.
You love me.
When I stray, you leave the 99 sheep and come to find me. The lost sheep.
The lonely and hurt.
When you find me, you rejoice.
You have compassion for me.
You protect me.
You love me
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though it’s waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is out fortress.
Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolation on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. Be still and know that I am God. “I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress”
Thank you Father for being so powerful and for being our refuge and strength. Thank you for this amazing pslam with your beautiful words that have helped me in my loneliest times. You have taught me that I am never alone, you are always with me, because you love me.
